The Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences was established in 1968 by Sveriges Riksbank, the central bank of Sweden.
The Nobel Prizes are awarded annually on December 10, the anniversary of Nobel's death. The prizes consist of a medal, a personal diploma, and a cash award.
The Nobel Foundation is an independent organization that is not affiliated with any government or university. The members of the Nobel Committees are appointed by the foundation and are not allowed to have any financial or personal interests in the nominees or the prize winners.
The Nobel Prize is considered to be one of the highest honors in the world. It is awarded to individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to their respective fields. The prizes have been awarded to some of the most distinguished scientists, writers, and peacemakers of our time.
The 2023 Nobel Prize winners have not yet been announced. The nominations for the 2023 prizes are due on January 31, 2023. The prizes will be announced in October 2023 and awarded in December 2023.
